Welcome to Kaffee De Planck, a tastefully decorated barge known for its extensive beer menu with more than 200 different types of beer. Taste also our excellent, traditionally brewed house beer ‘Planckske’, made by brewery Van Steenberge in Ertvelde.

As a true bon vivant, you’ll find exactly what you’re looking for here: delicious beer, tasty snacks and interesting conversation partners. Enjoy the many artisan beers in the cozy, nostalgic atmosphere inside, or on the terrace of the upper deck when the weather is nice.

Explore our extensive beverage menu with a wide selection of beers, wines, cocktails, spirits, soft drinks and hot beverages. Our beer selection, both draught and bottled, is impressive.

Specialty of the house: various artisan beers with secondary fermentation in the bottle.

At De Planck you can enjoy delicious croques, sandwiches, tapas and appetizers, all prepared with fresh and fine ingredients. Choose from a wide selection of toppings, specially made breads and baked Italian bread. Also try our house-made lemonade, iced tea, fruit tea and Mojito, with or without alcohol. In the summer months, we serve ice cream sundaes, cooling milkshakes, smoothies and sangria with fresh fruit.

Beer tip of the month

Each month at De Planck, we highlight a special beer that is not on our drink menu. These are unique beers from small, craft breweries, offered in keg or bottle. Come sample these special beers throughout the month and possibly take home a few bottles while supplies last.

Escape from the daily grind and come relax with a delicious local beer, a fresh cocktail or other drink in our cozily decorated room or on the sunny terrace. Quench your hunger with freshly prepared snacks or small bites.

Fancy a party game with friends? At Kaffee De Planck you can indulge in a large selection of board games. You also have full access to our boat library. Enjoy the pleasant ambient music, which ranges from blues and soul to reggae and rock, depending on the time of day.

About Odette and her team

Since 1985, Odette has been the driving force behind Kaffee De Planck. Together with our team of permanent staff and enthusiastic job students, we provide a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Everyone is well trained and familiar with the extensive drink menu, about which we are happy to give you advice in several languages, so you can always make the perfect choice.

Odette herself is not just a beer connoisseur; she holds the prestigious labels Ambassador Cum Laude for Orval, Governor of the Dutch Trappist beer La Trappe and of the abbey beer Paix Dieu, which is only brewed at full moon on the French-Belgian border. So with us you can count on a perfectly served glass of these top beers.

At Kaffee De Planck you will not only enjoy a fine selection of drinks, but also freshly prepared and tasty croques, sandwiches, ice cream sundaes, appetizers and tapas. The latter can be ordered even after our kitchen closes, so you never step off our barge hungry.

Kaffee De Planck

Our kitchen is open every day continuously from 11:30 am. You can order during the week and on weekends until 10:30 pm. Appetizers and tapas are available throughout the day until closing time.
